In spirit she walks the city, traces its labyrinths, its dingy mazes: each assignation, each rendezvous, each door and stair and bed. What he said, what she said, what they did, what they did then. Even the times they argued, fought, parted, agonized, rejoined. How they'd loved to cut themselves on each other, taste their own blood. We were ruinous together, she thinks. But how else can we live, these days, except in the midst of ruin?

The latest in the offering amongst the Fm Channel is Meow@104.8 Fm. This station aims to pioneer in the Indian radioscape by offering 'India's first talk-based radio station for women'. All good till now. In its imagination, it aims to bridge a lot of gaps. Women issues, gender concerns, chit chat, etc. But why on earth would they choose a name like, Meow, fails my sensibilities. Also, there tag line: Thodi Meethi, Thodi Catty. Thodi is a little, meethi sweet and well, catty we all know what it means. When exactly do we call women 'catty', when she is not being bitchy enough? And I am sure, I am not the only one who is thinking like this. It is sort of clever, accepted. However, when a radio station aims to exemplify its entire programming, approach and 'imagined' audience through this tag line, it raises significant question.
